The public product starts with one authoritative transaction source and keeps contextual sources clearly separated from numeric production inputs.

HM Land Registry licensing
Price Paid Data is available under the Open Government Licence v3.0, with the required Crown copyright/database-right attribution. HM Land Registry also notes that the OGL does not automatically license third-party rights within the dataset, including address-data rights. SCC therefore publishes aggregate statistics rather than a bulk address directory.
Release provenance
Every validated release is expected to carry a release ID, official source reference month, source-year range, retrieval evidence, source SHA-256 values, code revision, validation result and independent sample-reconciliation evidence. Corrections create a new traceable release rather than silently rewriting history.
