Not an estimated home valuation
Your postcode.
The property facts.
A transparent evidence platform for England & Wales property transactions: recorded sold prices, market activity, property mix and reproducible postcode intelligence.
Important: These are historic registered transactions, not present-day property valuations or a house-price index. Recent transfers can be incomplete and records can be revised. Understand the limitations.
A national picture. Local detail.
The panels below load recorded sales directly from the same verified dataset as the postcode explorer. No sample numbers are fabricated.
Only completed, registered standard Category A transactions from the declared source-year window. Some price statistics are withheld where fewer than ten eligible sales exist. Areas above are postcode districts, not administrative boundaries.

Completed sales, not asking prices
Registered transactions show what changed hands, not what was advertised.
Price, volume and property mix
Separate market activity from the mix of homes sold so a median is never mistaken for a valuation index.
Evidence you can trace

Two independent official research series help explain broader context. These sources are published at different geographical levels and are not estimates for an individual postcode district.
UK House Price Index
The official HPI uses mix-adjustment to better distinguish market movements from changes in the properties being sold. Its historic England and Wales series reaches back to 1995.

Good information needs context.
Our figures describe completed sales registered with HM Land Registry in England and Wales, not every home or its present value. A change in the median sold price can reflect a different mix of properties sold, rather than a like-for-like increase in house values.
We omit the two most recent transfer months from headline comparisons because registrations arrive late. The remaining data can still be revised. Where samples are small, percentage changes are not shown. The current build uses standard category A transactions and a declared source-year window.
Read the official HM Land Registry methodology ↗. The current pilot uses yearly source files from 2023 onwards; historical coverage is not yet complete back to 1995. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by HM Land Registry.
